The Corner Stone Cook Book: Tried Recipes compiled by The Corner Stone Class of the Knoxville Presbyterian Church, Pittsburgh, Penna. 1917

Pittsburgh: 1917. Paperback. Tall 8vo, cloth backed blue printed wraps, 200 pp, mainly recipes, some ads. Good copy with general wear, but still well bound, contents mainly VG, one of the cookie recipe pages has some marks and small stains, evidence of having been used for its true purpose. The Corner Stone class was "for young matrons" and was in the Ladies' Parlor every Sabbath at 9:45 am. The church is still standing, at the corner of Jucunda and Knoxville, in a neighborhood above the South Side slopes that was and is an ethnic mix of lower income residents. No copies in any institution according to Worldcat. Good. Item #H7863
