Lyrics tell the story of a black kid whose teased and called "Snowball" by the white kids; he goes home crying and his mother comforts him, but tells him tears can't wash away his dusky shade, and that the same angels who made the day also made the night, and plus inside he's "white." He goes back and plays with the white boys with a newfound strength and they readily accept him. Mixed racial messages but on the whole, anti-racist in tone. Item #H9641
