Reading without Boundaries: Essays presented to Anne Carroll Moore on the occasion of the Fiftieth Anniversary of the Inauguration of Library Service to Children at the New York Public Library

New York: New York Public Library, 1956. First edition. Paperback. 1956, First Edition. Softcover, frontis of Moore. 104 pp. Designed by Newbery winner Valenti Angelo. Very Good copy. Light fading to the wraps; small areas of abrasion on the front wrap; discoloration to a rear blank page, and the verso of the frontis. Otherwise the text is clean, bright and unmarked, sound binding. This book came from the collection of book editor/publisher Margaret McElderry, who worked in Children's Division of the NYPL under Anne Carroll Moore in the 1930's. Though unsigned, there is a pencil note in McElderry's hand on the front blank page that reads, "Contains a number of inaccuracies according to Anne Carroll Moore." An uncommon item, with a great association. Digital images available upon request. Very Good. Item #0076039
