This book came from the collection of book editor/publisher Margaret McElderry, who worked in Children's Division of the NYPL under Anne Carroll Moore in the 1930's. Though unsigned, there is a pencil note in McElderry's hand on the front blank page that reads, "Contains a number of inaccuracies according to Anne Carroll Moore."
