The first and second parts (there was a third part issued, which is not included here). In plain wraps sewn at left edge, with recent marbled paper over-wraps, 82 & 94 pp. First printings of one of the earliest of Samuel Leigh Sotheby’s catalogues, compiled when he was 21; he was of the third generation of the Sotheby family to partner in the auction house. Robert Grave or Graves (1768-1825) was known as the best connoisseur of rare prints of his time. He was part of a family of collectors, print-makers and sellers, and publishers. The first part has its sewing coming loose, the second part the stitching is still intact. Two of the earliest original Sotheby's catalogues currently on the market. Good. Item #0084154
