Notes from a Sea Diary (1965) inscribed to his editor with cat drawings
New York: G. P. Putnam's, 1965. First edition. Hardcover. Very good in slightly used dust jacket with some light loss to spine head and corners. Inscribed to William and Roslyn Targ from Algren and his wife, Betty, in red ink, featuring some drawings of cats. Targ was at the time editor in chief at Putnam’s and was Algren’s editor (this is confirmed in Asher’s recent biography of Algren). An excellent association copy! Very Good / Good+. Item #0086323
