Main image shows Maine to Iowa and the Great Lakes to Northern Florida; small inset of the tip of Florida; larger inset showing the states and territories west of the Missouri River, as well as the northern part of Mexico and the Baja Peninsula, noted as Lower California. Minor spotting to the map around New Jersey; several tiny repairs on verso at intersections of folds and two very small separations at edges also repaired neatly. Bold, bright coloring. Bound in original red leather boards, hardcover, 12mo., with train and steamboat design in gilt, gilt titles. 70 pp. of text that includes list of cities and travel routes.
