Engraved frontispiece, plus engraved headpiece and capital on Dedication. Text in double columns. Very Good. Shallow loss to leather at the spine ends; mild edge and corner wear; front outer hinge starting to crack with some neat restoration, rear hinge supple and strong. Damp stain visible to bottom corner from page 450 through the end; contents otherwise bright and unmarked; no signs of former ownership; edge of frontispiece is frayed but the image is not affected.
