Pittsburgh, PA: The Forum Publishing Co., 1970-71. The first nine issues of The Pittsburgh Forum, a tabloid newspaper published from 1970-1975(?) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Pittsburgh Forum had somewhat of a lefty bent and focused editorially on topics such as Women's Liberation, abortion, Vietnam, the college campus, local politics, labor issues, consumer protection, environmental issues, and the local arts scene. Each issue also features an extensive community calendar of arts and music events, as well as many advertisements for local businesses. A few headlines from the first nine - "Are Nuclear Power Plants Killing Babies?", "The International - from the inside", "Skybus: Is a Revolt Brewing in the Suburbs?, "Poetry Forum: brilliant so far", "Oaklandites Picket Alleged Drug-Pusher", "Was the White House Children's Conference Bugged?", plus interviews with Cyril Wecht, Don Brockett, and letters from readers.
