VG copy, minor abrasion to spine, spine lettering a little dull, hinges nice and tight, minor foxing to outer pages, the plate facing the dedication page has a sharp diagonal crease partway through it that has led to a bit of separation, otherwise text and plates VG and clean. Owner's old signature in pencil on rear endpaper (we couldn't decipher it). Very RARE in the original edition, and at the time of our listing, only reprints available online and no copies recently at auction have been recorded. Very scarce Civil War memoir. Very Good.
