Good copies, old green cloth reinforcing the spines and in one volume, cloth restored at top, contents good to very good, usual tanning, each volume several hundred pages and with occasional plates, including 4 color lithographs, unusual to find at this time and place, including one stunning folding litho; other lithographs including at least one folding b/w litho. Rare in commerce and in institutions. The magazine published articles on the history, archeology and ethnography of the peoples of Russia, documentary materials and memoirs. Significant place was given to the history of culture and life. There was also a section of criticism and bibliography with published reviews of Russian and foreign works on the history of Russia.
