3 8 x 10 photos of Apple Alley near E. Grant Ave, Duquesne PA ca. 1900

3 photos, ca. 1900s, measuring 9.5 x 7.5 inches, mounted on thick gray stock, addresses and residents identified on versos. Very good but for normal edge-wear to mounts. Apple Alley no longer exists off E. Grant Ave. in Duquesne, but it must have been near Prune Alley and Apricot Alley, which still exist. Photos, very Lewis Hine-like, show the unpaved alley and squalid living conditions, Duquesne being a classic Mon Valley mill town, much like Braddock across the river or nearby Clairton. Very Good.
