Chap Book: Extracts from Bruno's Weekly, Pilfered and Done into a Book by Billy Pertz

(NY): Guido Bruno, 1916. Hardcover. 12mo (6.25 inches tall) blue boards ruled and lettered in white, 44 pp., reproducing on pages of blue background and white lettering 4 works: Oscar Wilde's "The Doer of Good" and "The Master," "Judas Iscariot" by Dorochewitch translated by Bruno and "A Fable" by Rich: the Dorochewitch piece takes up the bulk of this book. RARE: OCLC can locate no copies of this compilation. Bruno (1882-1942) was a Greenwich Village resident and "character" in the tradition that continued with Joe Gould, Izzy Young and Ed Sanders. We are surprised that Joseph Mitchell didn't write about him -- he would have gone hand in hand with Professor Seagull. Good copy: spine restoried but some edge and corner wear and loss, contents VG. Good. Item #H10973
