"Drift at Red Mountain" 1940s lithograph by one of Warhol's art teachers at Carnegie Tech
Numbered in pencil 13 / 20, signed WAR in the plate. Sheet measures 17.5 x 15 inches; image measures 14.25 x 11.75 inches. Lightest edgewear else fine. Readio (1891-1965) studied at Carnegie Institute of Technology and became a successful artist, lithographer, printmaker and painter, with a special fondness for Pittsburgh scenes and Colorado old mining scenes. Red Mountain in Colorado was one of his favorite subjects. In 1944 he became a teacher of fine arts at Carnegie Tech in Pittsburgh and Andy Warhol was among his students. Very Good. Item #H11934
