Circular from 1916 issued by the American Embargo Conference, calling on US citizens to protest the use of American-made explosives and weapons in the European conflict

8.5 x 11, folded once horizontally, accusing manufacturers of war profiteering, and deploring the loss of life caused by arms and ammunition manufactured in the US, urging US citizens to write to their Congressmen against US involvement. Apparently this was sent along with examples of telegrams one could send, geared toward Congressmen, and especially Senator Stone on the Foreign Relations Committee. An unusual piece of anti-war ephemera, two years before American official involvement. Very Good. Item #H13060
