Bound in brown buckram, title stamped in gilt on cover along with "Senator Edward Martin" in gilt -- Martin, who later became Governor, was an avid collector of Pennsylvania related material. About 125-150 pages in all. The 1817 AG's report has old brown pen marks to last 2 pages; Old owner's name on the second 1817 report, but we can't read it. The proposal to build the State Capitol includes competing plans by William Strickland of Philadelphia, Stephen Hills of Harrisburg, and Joseph C. Lavielle of Harrisburg. Includes some information on tavern owners and on roads and turnpikes as well. Very Good. Item #H13097
