In 1909 at the age of nine, Hunt Dickinson inherited $5 million from a rich uncle (about $120 million by today's reckoning) and had a sprawling estate in Oyster Bay, an apartment at 300 Park Ave. etc. He was also a major stakeholder in the Rudge printing firm.
