Hardcover. 8vo, full red leather stamped in gilt, very good, light rubbing to edges and spine ends, text mainly unopened and uncut, with "James Isaac Buchanan, 33 degree" in gilt on front cover, 144 pp, illustrations. Contents consist of history of the Consistory, charter, by-laws, portraits (with plates) of eminent members, and full list of members -- James Buchanan not among them; he was a banker in Pittsburgh (1853-1931), one of ten children of the important Canadian financier Isaac Buchanan, and the one who arranged for Auchmar, the family estate in Hamilton, Ontario, to stay in the Buchanan family.
