4pp petition to the court by the widow of Henry Teal [or Deal], March 3, 1797, pleading that though Teal died "intestate" that two tracts of land be released from probate to pay for the education and care of the widow's several children (ranging from 11 months to thirteen years old). 1 page Public Notice from April 20, 1797, of the sale of two tracts of land from the estate of Henry Teal in Somerset near Elk Lick, signed by Josiah Espy, clerk of the court. 1 1/2 pp. document regarding the sale of one of the Teal/Deal tracts to Solomon Glodfelty and his plans for the tract and its title. 1805 survey of one of the tracts of land on Piney Run, a tributary of the Castleman River in Elk Lick, and on the other side surveyor's notes and sketch for a tract of land on Shade Creek, Quemahoning Township. May 1822 indenture, agreement between John Helen of Elk Lick and Henry & Jacob Glodfelty, regarding a tract of land "for the purpose of a sawmill." Handwritten receipt from Salisbury PA (near Elk Lick) 1849: "Rec'd of Mr. Salomon Durst the full and just amount for medicine and medical attendance. I say rec'd by me in full. J. G. Fruckman." Indenture dated May 1849 between John and Peter Shirer and Samuel Compton for a tract of land in Salisbury. September 1856 indenture for land in Salisbury, between Samuel and Nancy Compton and the purchaser George Lourey. 2 1/2 pages. 1871 handwritten bill for various lumber, possibly from the sawmill mentioned above. Broadside printed notice of "A Valuable Farm for Sale" in Elk Lick Township (10.75 x 8.75 inches). Overall condition for all this is very good, minor repairs to two or three folds that were splitting. Very Good. Item #H15247
