Pittsburgh: Pittsburgh Committee to End the War in Vietnam, 1966. 4 mimeo'd pages, stapled at top left, 7 sides total, with the Bulletin printed on one side only, and the first issue of the Peace and Freedom newsletter with reportage on high school protests, an editorial on the need for such a newsletter, by Frank Goldsmith, Dan Smullyan, acting chair of SDS on the need for a Discussion/Education Project, a poem by Ida Mary Lewis with a pencil correction (this was her copy and bears her pencilled initials IML on first sheet; Lewis - 1924 - 2011 -- was among the first Black librarians in Allegheny County), a report from the Dubois Club by Ed Bortz, Frank Couvares on Students for Peace, a poem by Dan Georgakas, etc. Very rare, hard to tell from OCLC whether any libraries have this first issue; the newsletter published from 1966 to 1969.
