Paris: Librairie Hachette, (1917). First printing. Hardcover. No. 13 of 50 copies on verge d'Arches, inscribed to Jeanne Silvain, Eugene's daughter, and also signed by Jaubert. Quarter cloth and marbled boards, leather spine label, very good, original wraps bound in. Silvain was a very well known actor in the late 19th and early 20th century and was Doyen of the Comedie Francaise. 64 pp, uncut and unopened. Jeanne Silvain was also an actress, and married the impresario and stage manager Edmond Roze (d. Auschwitz, 1943), so a wonderful association copy from a significant French theatrical family.
