Unique 1950 photo album of a Japanese village festival - 50 fine photos

11.75 x 8.25 inches, silk brocade covers, bound accordion-style, with 50 mounted photos measuring roughly 6 x 4.25 inches each, showing a festival and parade involving a "float," martial artists and many school-children, with quite a few activities. Some foxing or spotting to the accordion pages, but the photos in excellent condition, housed in a partial cloth chemise. The date we're assigning is based on one of the photos having "Showa 25" on a banner. One of the signs held up looks like it might say "Saruta Old School" which could place this village in one of the northern prefectures, but we obviously have no idea!
