A. Norman Needy Sales Manual [1966 manual for employees at the Gitting photo studios]

(Dallas - Fort Worth): Gittings Studio, Ca. 1966. 14 x 9 inches, stiff black card covers stamped in gilt with plastic comb binding, very good, light wear to the plastic comb (some small cracks), contents fine, 109 leaves printed on rectos (front sides) only, with short preface by Paul Linwood Gittings. Very rare with no copies located by OCLC. Needy was an employee at the famous Bachrach Studios and rose through the ranks to become finishing plant manager, chief sales manager, etc., succeeding in raising sales at the NY studio to more than $800,000 a year. In 1960 he was hired away by Gittings to become the VP and General Manager at their Dallas & Fort Worth studios (Gittings was also aligned with Neiman Marcus and became their official portrait and studio photographers). This manual is intended for the sales force at Gittings (or other photo studios) as a teaching guide for professional portrait photographers. Very Good. Item #H16295
