Paperback. 15 x 11.25 printed folder with photographic onlay, housing 8 pp. leaflet on coal mining strikes in Kentucky, with interviews with Houston Elmore, head of the UMW in Brookside KY and Nolan Hubbs, a retired coal miner. With 11 photos printed on 14 x 11 inch photo paper, images themselves roughly 10 x 7 inches. An early project for Gumpert, who began as a documentary photographer in 1974. He now makes his home in San Francisco, and has been working on a years-long project documenting life in the San Francisco prison system. Lightest wear to folder. Near Fine. Item #H16776
