London: American Outpost in Great Britain, 1942-1945. 26 issues; each issue is a single sheet folded once to make 4 pages and measures 13 x 8 inches folded. We have issues no. 31-52, 56, 59 & 61. Generally very good with horizontal fold. The American Outpost in Great Britain was founded in July 1940 to promote American cooperation with Britain in the war effort and to provide "full understanding among the English Speaking Peoples to assure their permanent association in the establishment and maintenance of a peaceful new world order." Many of the issues contain articles by Arthur L. Goodhart, a Yale educated future jurist who became the first American head of a college at Oxford and first American chairman of the Oxford law faculty. Also includes a single double-sided broadsheet of "Speech by Colonel Oliver Stanley" March 19, 1945, Secretary of State for the Colonies, to the Outpost at the Waldorf Hotel. Very uncommon. Very Good. Item #H16856
