At the time these were issued, France was in the middle of the German invasion that lasted from May 10 to June 25, 1940 and resulted in German occupation of France; thus, the tragic termination of this journal. With reprints of editorials that appeared in the NY Herald Tribune by Dorothy Thompson, Eve Curie and others. Rare in commerce and in institutions. Very Good. Item #H16866
