For the sum of one dollar, James Stewart of New Jersey agrees to lease land from the Ocean Oil company of Pennsylvania for twenty years, as long as he commences boring for oil within 40 days of the signing of the lease at his own expense and that he would split the profits 50/50 with Ocean Oil Company. Signed by Stewart as well as by the president of Ocean Oil, Charles H. Graham (1838-1866).
