Aleksandr Vasil'evich Bakhrakh (also Bacherac, Bachrach), 1902-1985, an emigre writer (author of "Bunin v khalate"), a journalist, critic, and memoirist who published widely in émigré journals and newspapers. During WWII he lived with Ivan Bunin, who sheltered him from the Nazis (Bakhrakh was Jewish). Bakhrakh worked in a pro-Soviet newspaper after the war, and in the 1950s and 1960s worked for Radio Svoboda. He died in Paris in 1985. Very Good. Item #H20339
