About 300 pp. in total; the last two discourses total 100 pp. in themselves. Channing was the foremost Unitarian preacher in the US of his time and his theology and liberalism were embraced by the Transcendentalists, with whom he is often linked. His sermon on the ordination of Jared Sparks in 1819 (which is present here in the 11th edition) is considered the finest statement of the principles of Unitarianism that has ever been offered, which is undoubtedly why it went through so many printings. A nice assemblage of sermons, all of which are rare on the market. Good. Item #H20507
