Philadelphia: Scroggy, Ca. 1852. 9 x 4.75 inches, typographical border. Very good, light mottling and general tanning. One of a number of song sheets published by Scoggy about fire companies in Philadelphia. AAS dates this 1852; it is NOT in the LOC America Singing Collection, and is NOT in Wolf's American Song Sheets. This song celebrates the violent animosities between the various volunteer fire brigades in Philadelphia, which eventually led to reform and a paid fire department. OCLC locates a number of copies of this, but as usual with them, it's hard to determine which are actual copies and which are digitized "internet resources." Very Good. Item #H21084
