Nooksack [large folio of plans to develop the Nooksack River Basin]

Seattle: Jones & Jones, 1973. First printing. Paperback. Folio, 16 x 11 inches, stiff wraps with cloth over spine, very good, minor wear, the pages are glued in, not sewn, so one has to be careful opening this book too widely. Rare in the market, graphically very interesting. About 100 pages total, many folding plates, maps, charts and other visually dynamic pages. A very progressive proposal and early emphasis on ecological land-use with emphasis on land management, wildlife management, solutions and proposals for prioritizing the interests of Native Americans in the region. 19 found in insitutions by OCLC/Worldcat but very uncommon in the trade. The Nooksack River Basin is the northwesternmost region of Washington state, bordering British Columbia and essentially encompassing all the area from Mt. Baker to the Lummi reservation north of Bellingham Bay. Very Good. Item #H21564
