Pittsburgh: Thomas C. Jenkins, 1891-1895. 9 of the invoices measure 8.5 x 5.5 inches, very good, two holes punched along the top edge, versos with maps of downtown, etc. Very handsome. The other three are the same width, but two measure 7.5 inches in height rather than 5.5 inches, and the last measures 9.25 inches in height (light wear and tanning). Jenkins' building was eventually renovated and expanded to become the legendary Jenkins Arcade in 1911, which was razed to make room for Fifth Avenue Place -- alas! By the 1890s, Jenkins employed over 200 people and used at least 4 dozen horses to deliver goods to residents and other businesses. Included as a bonus are two similar billheads from Arbuckles & Company (1890) and one from Marshall-Kennedy Milling (1893). All the invoices are made out to A. Stoner & Son. Very Good. Item #H22617
