Bound volume of two works, in handsome early calf, very good, light wear and minor crease marks along spine, bookplate and signature of R. B. Podmore -- he was a vicar in the town of Monks Kirby, Warwickshire, also associated with the nearby town of Pailton. The first work illustrated with woodcuts. John Anstey, the author of the second work, was Christopher Anstey's son, and the editor of his father's works. The Pleader's Guide was first published on 1796 and is a sendup of English lawyers. Nice to have these two satirical pieces bound together! Very Good. Item #H22985
