Yawmiyyat Halat / Hala Diary - text in Arabic
Beirut: Dar al-'ilm li-l-Malayin, 1950. First printing. Paperback. 8vo, wraps, good to very good with light toning and tanning to both covers and text. 167 pp. In Arabic. The author was a Syrian writer and translator. She is best known for her literary criticism and biography on the women's rights activist and writer May Ziadeh, as well as for her writing on Spain's Andalusia region, notably the book The Two Eyes of Seville. Hala's Diaries is her first book, an autobiographical account. We think this copy is INSCRIBED on title page by the author, but can't say for sure. Very Good. Item #H23710
