Inscribed to Robert Lima and his wife very fondly at State College in (we think) 1971. Robert Lima was a Cuban-born poet, playwright and professor at Penn State, an expert in Latin American literature who edited and translated the first critical book on Borges to appear in English (1965); in !Some People! (2015), Lima's autobiographical account of his interactions with notable people, he devoted a whole chapter to Amado. Nice association copy, and probably Amado's most famous book, made into a fine movie. Near fine / very good. Item #H24707
