Amours et Enfants -- 1892 portfolio of 16 chromolithographs of infants & putti
Paris: "C. A." (1892). First Printing. Hardcover. in cloth backed portfolio with decorated boards and ribbon tie, 9 x 6.25 inches, housing 16 chromolithographs measuring 8.5 x 6.125 inches, very good, lightest wear and toning, inner pink paper lining a bit worn and cracked along spine, numbered 17-32, and after the work of Francois Boucher (d. 1770). Undated but we found these (online) advertised in an 1892 Parisian journal. Handsome set of chromolithographs of putti tumbling around with each other in the clouds. OCLC/Worldcat locates a single holding, University of Southern California. The numbering 17-32 suggests this is the "second series" of prints and that there is another portfolio with plates 1-16 out there. Very good. Item #H25015
