SIGNED by Marie McSwigan, the "ghost writer" of this book. 196 pp, color frontispiece and several b/w reproductions of the author's paintings. Self taught artist from Western Pennsylvania who worked in the mills and did itinerant work around Pittsburgh and McKeesport, now considered one of the most important American artists of the 20th century. Rarely found signed by McSwigan and since Kane died in 1934, no copies are ever found signed by him. Book very good with faint wear and soil to binding, gentle crease to flyleaf and first blank, jacket very good, minor edgewear, light soil to rear panel. Very good / very good. Item #H25100
