St. Wendel, Germany: NSDAP - Nazi Party, 1943. Hardcover. 12 x 9 inches, bound in thick black paper-covered boards stamped "Ehren-Chronik" on front cover with the iron cross, maroon string binding, very good, light wear. With about 45 pp. of text and blank forms, including 24 pp. of plates of Hitler and other Nazi anb German leaders and imagery, but the owner of this album, Adam, did not fill out any of the paperwork. HOWEVER, there are 36 small snapshots that are a curious mix of the American's photos who took this as a souvenir, and the young German private, and many of them are captioned. One of the German's is captioned from Smolensk, another is a snapshot of a little boy, addressed in German in 1946 on the rear. Another American snapshot is of the Negresco Hotel in Nice. One 5.5 x 2" photo is a commercially printed stereoview captioned in print, "Die Soldaten des Fuhrer im Felde" and many others. We think there's probably only about 6 photos from the German, the rest are from the American and include shots of the Rhine, of barracks and other buildings, of himself and his pals, etc. Very good.
