First edition, 1825-1826, 2 volumes, tall 8vo, bound in full dark aubergine morocco gilt with raised bands, handsome gilt decorated spine compartments, by Sangorski and Sutcliffe. Very good set, with 71 handcolored plates mainly by Robert Cruikshank, 1 uncolored woodcut plate and many in-text illustrations, some neat strengthening of inner hinges with rice paper and scant evidence of neat restoration to three of the four outer joints, contents very good to fine, spine color has mellowed to a pleasing dark brown.
