Group of 5 1890s photos 7 x 5 inches, railroad men unlinking freight cars

5 photos, each 7 x 5 inches, condition is good with surface soil, light creases, general wear, one of the photos with light corner loss. Each shows a laborer manually working on the links & hitches between freight railroad cars. Two photos look like they have the end of "Pennsylvania" stencilled on, and one has "Air Brake," leading us to think these are Pennsylvania Rail Road trains and that the men might be demonstrating something to do with the air brakes that Westinghouse invented in the late 1880s/early 1890s. Sorry, that's all we can tell you about them, there's no writing on the backs. They have a certain vernacular charm and energy. Good. Item #H29179
