New York: Harper and Brothers, 1848-1852. Hardcover. 12 volumes, complete. 9 x 5.75 inches, half brown calf and marbled boards. Good to very good set, all solidly bound, general minor rubbing and wear, about half of the spine labels have been replaced by recent paper facsimiles but they rather blend right in. Hinges all sound, contents clean, unmarked and fairly free of foxing. A nice looking set, and leather editions of the Sparks edition are rare in the trade. The first volume is dated 1852, the last, surprisingly, 1848. Very good. Item #H29407
