Milano: Universita di Milano, 1961-1965. Wraps. Bombieri (b. 1940) is an Italian mathematician, known for his work in analytic number theory, Diophantine geometry, complex analysis, and group theory. Bombieri is currently Professor Emeritus in the School of Mathematics at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, New Jersey. Bombieri won the Fields Medal in 1974 for his contributions to large sieve mathematics, conceptualized by Linnick 1941, and its application to the distribution of prime numbers. In no particular order we have: I raggi singolari delle serie di potenze e le variazioni di segno dei coefficienti (1961); Alcune osservazioni sul prodotto di n forme lineari reali non omogenee (1963); On the large sieve (1965; with errata sheet loosely inserted); On functions which are regular and univalent in a half-plane (1965); Maggiorazione del resto nel "Primzahlsatz" col metodo di Erdos-Selberg (1962). Condition is good or better, some bumping to corners and light wear and creasing. These are some of Bombieri's earliest published articles, when he was in his early 20s, although it must be said that he published his first mathematical paper in 1957 when he was only 16. Good.
