Forgotten Shrines, Stephen Vincent Benet's copy
New Haven: Yale University Press, C. 1919. First Printing. 8vo, stiff card covers with printed blue overwrap, very good, light wear, minor loss to bottom of front overwrap. With the bookplate of Stephen Vincent Benet, who was intimately associated with Yale and the Younger Poets series; he was a student at Yale at the same time as Farrar and both of them contributed verse to the Yale Record, the campus humor magazine. Benet became chief editor of the Yale Younger Poets series from 1933 to 1942 (his last choice was Margaret Walker's "For My People.") and so his copy of the second book published in the series is an excellent association copy.
