24 Twenty-Four Different New Day Comics for Girls and Boys (1920s satirical comic sheets with verse)

Shippensburg, PA: The Beistle Co., Ca. 1925. 10 x 7 inches, cover sheet plus 24 loose sheets with red borders, each with a cartoon printed on a tinted background and a 6-line poem in satirical verse style, lampooning their subjects -- the boss's pet, the meek husband, the proud papa, the heartless flirt, the "bum cook," the Lazy Devil, Kampus Kid, Big Shot, Wise Little Wifie, Social Climber, Back Biter, etc. From the style and the clothing, they appear to be Jazz Age vintage, probably pre-Depression, so we're thinking mid-1920s. We could locate no similar items online and not in OCLC. Very good. Item #H30686
