The New Talent, The Advance Guard Quarterly no. IV, March 1934
New York: E. G. Arnold & Weldon Giniger, 1935. Wraps. 11 x 8.5 inches, stapled wraps, good with some wear along spine. 55 mimeo'd leaves, printed on rectos only. A little magazine of some obscurity, with lefty & proletarian vibes; fiction, poetry, essays. This one signed in pencil on the cover by contributor Joseph Slepian (a well known electrical engineer with Westinghouse in Pittsburgh; he has work in other issues but not this one). Work by a number of pretty obscure writers, of which only Ira Jan Wallach (then age 21, a screenwriter and novelist), Olga Cabral, the bohemian Bob Brown are familiar to us. Good. Item #H31661
