Glasgow and Edinburgh: David Bryce; Andersons, Ca. 1900s. Hardcover. In miniature oak cabinet with hinged top and drop-front, measures 9 x 5.75 x 4 inches, housing 40 volumes (complete); books are bound in gray or blue boards with thin celluloid panels on front and rear boards, the front ones lettered and decorated. Generally very good; nine of the volumes are lacking their leather spine labels, and two have light wear to spine ends, some of the celluloid panels are slightly bowed, cabinet in excellent condition. Very charming set that apparently was first published by Bryce in 1904 and usually found in a miniature revolving wooden bookcase; these have small slips tipped to title pages identifying the new publisher as Andersons of Edinburgh, but undated. Books measure 2 x 1.5 inches. A lovely set and very giftworthy. At the time of this listing the lowest priced set (in revolving case) is nearly $1900 from the UK. Very good. Item #H34632
