Charter of the City of Allegheny, a Collection of Special Acts of Assembly and Ordinances of the City...

Allegheny: Ogden & Welsh, 1870. First Printing. Hardcover. 8vo, publisher's half leather, good copy with general rubbing to leather, top 2 inches of spine leather replaced neatly with cloth, neat strengthening to inner hinges, contents a little tanned but clean. 282 pp. Allegheny was annexed by Pittsburgh in 1907 and is now simply known as Pittsburgh's North Side. Uncommon. This is the first such charter for Allegheny and is rare also in institutions: from what we can tell there are only two original copies in institutions according to OCLC: Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh and Yale, the rest being "internet resources," digitized & microfilmed copies. Good. Item #H36078
