Top edges gilt, foredges uncut. 551, 672 with indexes in both volumes. Illlustrated with frontispiece engravings with tissue guards in place. Volume I (1930) limited to 325 copies of which 300 were for sale and Volume II (1938) limited to 205 copies of which 200 were for sale. Volume I in original red paper covered slipcase with printed cream spine label. Volume II lacks the slipcase and is not numbered as called for. Both volumes very good with light wear and soil, the first volume in a slipcase with moderate wear, rubbing, stains, abrasions and soil, paper spine labels a little rubbed and yellowed, and both volumes have a musty odor from basement storage. Contents very good and clean. Ownership signature of Ezra H. Baker (1859-1932, prominent Boston banker) in first volume. Very good. Item #H39458
