1692 fine colored map of southern Portugal: Parte Meridionale del Regno di Portogallo

Roma: Domenico de Rossi, Ca. 1692. Sheet measures 30 x 20.75; map measures 21 x 17 inches (53.3 x 42 cm). Map is in very good condition, some curling from having been stored rolled up, a small clump of divots or indentations to the left of the top of the cartouche, slight rumpling and lightest wear to sheet edges, some darkening and soil along right edge (about 1.5" band); fine hand coloring of the period. Map of the southern half of Portugal. Colored examples are very rare in the trade. We are also selling the accompanying map of the northern half of Portugal in another listing. Very good.
