Folio, 15 x 11 inches (38 x 28 cm), early half dark red morocco and marbled boards, good with rubbing and wear to binding, recent cloth over spine, reinforcement to inner hinges, contents complete and unmarked, moderate and sometimes heavy foxing throughout, light toning, first blank with a note from a previous owner as to which etchings belonged to the publisher Basan, frontispiece quite foxed and with old dampstain tidemark to upper margin, occasional small stains to plates, old tidemarks from dampstaining to inner margin and top inner corner to latter third of the book. With engraved frontispiece and 179 etchings on 96 leaves. Recent auction records include 1320 Pounds at Bonham's in 2008-09; 2585 Pounds at Dominic Winter in 2009 for a copy similar in condition to ours. Good. Item #H41180
