Published 1847, 2 volumes, small folio (15 inches, 38 cm), original half leather and marbled boards, good set with spines covered with recent tan cloth, text volume is 244 / 112 pp; plate volume has 122 plates. Text volume's contents very good, light foxing to terminal pages, plate volume contents fair to good, the majority of plates show tide mark from old dampstain to bottom outer corner and moderate to heavy foxing. The second plate volume undated but probably 1857-1860 - has 128 plates, in substantially better condition, with moderate foxing and occasional deep tanning, but without any damp stains. Rebound in black cloth. A good solidly bound useful set that went through a number of editions. Postage will be substantial for expedited or out of country shipping. Good. Item #H4547
